International Sculpture Day, April 28, 2018

Join MSU Art + Design Department, Sculpture Walk Springfield, and ideaXfactory for International Sculpture Day, April 28, 2018. Help us celebrate the installation of the new Sculpture Walk collection of 23 sculptures in downtown Springfield and Kick Off the Sculpture X-Games, with live music, hot metal aluminum pour, raku firings, ceramic sculpture community build, DIY hands-on community sculpture building, inflatable sculpture, pedicab tours, purchase local artists wares, food trucks, and much more. All events are free and open to the public!

Sculpture X-Games Kick-off Party

2018 Sculpture X-Games is a week-long creative competition April 28-May 4, between teams of artists who create an installation on any theme, using any materials outside the ideaXfactory! 

Our outdoor kick-off party will feature hot aluminum pours by MoState Sculpture Club, raku firings and a community clay build area by Missouri State University Clayworks, DIY hands-on sculpture building for the public, and more. Installation constructions will continue through the following week, and the final installations will be on exhibition for the May 4th First Friday Art Walk.

This year International Sculpture Day is being celebrated in a big way, throughout Springfield! Join us for live demos, music, food, and most importantly sculpture- you can even make your own!

Sculpture Walk Springfield’s Sculpture Reveal Party

Mothers Brewing Company

To celebrate the installation of the new collection of 23 sculptures in downtown Springfield, Sculpture Walk Springfield is throwing a Sculpture Reveal Festival at Mother's Brewing Company.

Join us in Mother's backyard for public art, live music from The Refugees, libations served up in the Mother's Tasting Room, yummy food served up by Twisted Mikes and Holy Cow Food Trucks, and free pedi cab rides to see the sculptures from Pedal Power Pedicabs. We'll also be featuring art from local artists.
