Enjoy the wonderful autumn weather during the October 7th First Friday Art Walk in Center City Springfield. The Art Walk is celebrating its 10 year anniversary with an Art Contest and Exhibit at OTC Fine Art Gallery on the 3rd floor of The Gillioz, 325 Park Central East featuring $500 in cash prizes, including a $250 grand prize chosen by judges and $100 People’s Choice Award chosen by visitors to the gallery. Other highlights of the night include:

Boca Mocha, 320 Park Central West featuring art by Jane Troupe, James Richardson, John L. Payne and Tyler Thrasher.

Creamery Arts Center, 411 N. Sherman Parkway – The Colors of Cambodia at The Creamery Arts Center

Drury University Pool Art Center, 940 N. Clay St. – art faculty works by Tom Parker, Todd Lowery, Rebecca Miller, Dudley Murphy, Blaine Whisenhunt, Jacqueline Warren and Greg Booker.

Good Girl Art Gallery, 325 E. Walnut St. – Wil Fischer Companies sponsor a tasting of the craft beers of O’Fallon Brewery, and Good Girl Art presents One Voice, a show by Artist Kathie Ryan, plus a reading and book signing for Homegirl, a novel by Ryder Collins.

Park Central Branch Library, 128 Park Central Square – paintings by Jenn Wiens, a 6 p.m talk on Thomas Hart Benton and 7 p.m. enjoy fiction readings from Missouri State University students.

Revel Advertising, 214 W. Phelps – new paintings by Stephanie Cramer.
