This year International Sculpture Day is being celebrated in a big way, throughout Springfield by ideaXfactory and Sculpture Walk Springfield!
2pm-7pm at ideaXfactory, 351 N. Boonville Ave. Springfield, MO.
In coordination with the International Sculpture Day, ideaXfactory will kickoff the 2018 Sculpture X-Games — a week-long creative competition April 28-May 4, between teams of artists who create an installation on any theme, using any materials outside the ideaXfactory!
The outdoor kick-off party will feature hot aluminum pours by MoState Sculpture Club, raku firings and a community clay build area by Missouri State University Clayworks, DIY hands-on sculpture building for the public, and more. Installation constructions will continue through the following week, and the final installations will be on exhibition for the May 4th First Friday Art Walk.

2pm-6pm Sculpture Walk 2018 Reveal Party at Mothers Brewing Company
To celebrate the installation of the new collection of 23 sculptures in downtown Springfield, Sculpture Walk Springfield is throwing a Sculpture Reveal Festival at Mother’s Brewing Company.
Join the celebration in Mother’s backyard for public art, live music from The Refugees, libations served up in the Mother’s Tasting Room, yummy food served up by Twisted Mikes and Holy Cow Food Trucks, free pedi cab rides to see the sculptures from Pedal Power Pedicab, and art from local artists.
